Each lampshade is crafted with a unique handmade botanical Cyanotype on fabric, designed exclusively for you.
What’s the process involved in making a custom lampshade?
The creative process starts with you sharing your inspiration for your lampshade.
It’s always great to meet in person but if it’s not possible we can connect with a video call.
Share with me any visual references you may have that convey the aesthetic, mood or tone you’re aiming for. We’ll also need to discuss fabric, shape, size and specific space where your lampshade will be placed.
My next step is to create a test print using the selected botanicals and fabric.
Once you’re happy with the design, I’ll create the full-size composition and expose it to develop the Cyanotype fabric. Your lampshade is then handcrafted with the utmost care and precision, ensuring a high quality one-of-a-kind piece inspired by your vision.
How long will it take to make my lampshade?
When your test print is approved and design is finalised it will take a further 5 working days to handcraft your lampshade, ready for dispatch.
If you have a strict deadline let me know and I will be honest about whether I can complete the lampshade in time.
How much does a bespoke lampshade cost?
It depends on several factors including the intricacy of the design, fabric, size and shape. Each piece is unique and naturally, the more complex the design the more time it takes.
